Please help me welcome Tomasz Sobek to the Asker coaching team, he brings our club 10 years of professional experience, including 3 years as a head coach, his assignments were with clubs in Poland, the United Sates and, most recent, Drammen Svømmeklubb.
Tomasz’s professional experience is supported by high achievements as an athlete. He gained international competition exposure as a member of the Polish National Team. His performance, as junior swimmer, earned him a university scholarship at the University of Connecticut where he experienced the uniquely formatted team focused competitions ffered by the US collegiate swimming system .
As a coach, Tomasz draws upon these experiences, evidenced in his coaching style and training design, to not only elevate performance, but to also appreciate each experience. His rare, firsts hand knowledge of what it takes to achieve at the international level, as well as his ability to transfer personal experiences and knowledge to his athletes.
His diverse experience, depth of knowledge and desire to be the best will immediately raise the competency of our coaching team and improve the quality the programming we offer. His positive approach, team-player attitude and a shared training philosophy will ease transition on to the staff and accelerate his abiity to elevate performance.
Adding Tomasz to the coaching team has allowed us to evaluate and adjust coaching assignments to better serve the needs of our athletes. Modifications to coach-group assignments are outlined below. At this time, all questions related to coach-group assignments should be directed to our head coach by sending a mail here.
